Moving Beyond Anxiety by David Chadwick | Book Review

I have recently been sent a new book to review and I feel it was released at just the perfect time. We are living in a world that is filled with so many unknowns and a lot of chaos that the feeling of being anxious is more prevalent than ever in people's lives. Some are used to dealing with this as they deal with anxiety on a daily basis, but for others, in this new world of unrest and unease, the feeling of anxiety can be very new and overwhelming. To help with ease some anxiety that you and I could be feeling, depending on our circumstances, David Chadwick has sent help to us.

In Moving Beyond Anxiety, Chadwick has sent us a playbook to help ease anxiety. Some of what he is saying is simple, and to be honest, I've heard it before. Basically he talks about how we can relieve the feelings of anxiety by turning to God and allowing Him to be our rest, but then goes beyond the typical and pushes our limits of trust and faith by asking us to look beyond what everyone else is telling us to do to remove the anxiety.

Chadwick helps us to focus on remembering who we are. We are created in the image of God and He knows exactly what we need and knows what we are feeling. We are also shown that worship helps to take our mind off of the anxiety and place it on where it needs to go. I know for myself, worship music is food to my soul. Especially when the storms of life are raging.

I think what I really love the most about this book is that it's so grounded in the truth. Chadwick uses scripture and bible stories that we have known for a very long time, or others that might be new to us, to help show that we can rely on God to be our everything. He has provided for the past generations, and I am assuming that they had feelings of anxiousness as well, and He will provide for us and our generation  no matter what we are dealing with.

With everything going on in the world, and the daily stresses that we have, I think God knew we needed a book exactly like this and His timing was perfect. But isn't it always!
